What to know before ordering
The Linux system does not allow apps to be installed - it works exclusively through CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. The package includes an aftermarket iDrive controller. The car's interface is controlled by the iDrive controller and the steering wheel controls; the touchscreen is for the Linux screen. The sound is routed through the original system's AUX output (if AUX is not active, it must be enabled). Please confirm the version (without iDrive) and the exact year of your car before purchase - we offer free technical assistance.

Important: iDrive is the general name for BMW's multimedia system. CCC, CIC, NBT and EVO are different generations. Some cars have no iDrive at all and use a Business or Professional radio.

The car has no factory navigation or multimedia screen (no iDrive controller between the seats) - it usually has a Business or Professional radio. For these cars, the dedicated system is supplied with an aftermarket iDrive controller, for full control and an experience as close as possible to the original.
