Reversing Camera Volkswagen Transporter, Multivan, Caravelle (2003 - present)
Dedicated camera for vans. It fits in the position provided from the factory for this model - on vans with rear doors, usually high up, in the brake light area above the doors. 1080P resolution, true 155° angle.

No-modification fitment
The dedicated camera mounts in the location provided for this model. On most vans with rear doors the position is high up, in the upper section, in the brake light area above the doors, not at the number plate. Fitting requires no drilling and no cuts in the bodywork.
From a normal distance nobody can tell it was retrofitted - it looks exactly like factory equipment.
How it works
Wiring diagram
Three components, one simple logic: the head unit in the dashboard (Android / RCA, supporting an aftermarket camera), the power feed from the reverse light, and the camera integrated at the rear (in the dedicated rear position, high up on vans).

Straight talk
Why 155 degrees and not 170?
Many sellers advertise 170 degrees as if wider were always better. In reality, the further past 155 degrees the lens goes, the more the image distorts. Here is the difference:
155 vs 170 grade
Wider = more distorted
Past 160 degrees, lens physics inevitably curves the edges of the image.
Distance deceives
At 170 degrees a nearby obstacle looks far away - exactly when it matters most.
155 is the sweet spot
Chosen after hundreds of customer reports: wide enough for both kerbs, faithful enough to trust what you see.
In short: 155 degrees is not a marketing number, it is the angle that actually helps you park properly.
1080P resolution
An NTSC or AHD sensor at 1080P - four times the detail of a standard 480p analogue camera, the type most commonly sold on our market.
True 155-degree angle
You see the left and right kerb at the same time, without the egg-shaped distortion of 170-degree lenses.
IP68 protection
It withstands immersion, not just splashes. It works in harsh conditions, between -20°C and +70°C and up to 95% humidity.
OEM appearance
It fits into the bracket provided from the factory. It does not change the look of the car.

Selectable resolution
The camera ships in NTSC/CVBS format, compatible with most head units and OEM integrations, or in AHD up to 1080P for modern systems. It can be switched between 1080P and 720P for older units that do not accept 1080P. You choose the format when ordering; if you are unsure, we will guide you.
Glass optics, true 155-degree angle
The lenses are glass, not plastic, for clarity and mechanical durability. The true 155-degree angle covers both kerbs without the egg-shaped distortion of so-called 170-degree cameras.
Night mode from 0.1 Lux
The sensitive sensor combined with good optics delivers a usable image even in very low light - underground car parks, an unlit yard, late in the evening.
IP68 water resistance
The highest waterproof rating in common use. It withstands immersion, not just splashes. It works in harsh conditions, between -20°C and +70°C, with up to 95% humidity.
4-pin MINI connector, 6 mm
A compact connector of only 6 mm that threads easily into the camera body, greatly simplifying installation. The RCA (Cinch) adapter is included for connecting to the head unit.
Installation without drilling
The camera sits exactly where the original part was. The bodywork is not modified and no marks are left behind.
Quality shielded cables
Poor cables cause noise, flicker and lines across the image. The package includes shielded cables designed for long-distance transmission, which remove interference and keep the picture clean.
